Our third day in the Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park area (written yesterday)
We pushed our schedule back by a day because it's so nice here. Weather has been beautiful --even hot during the day, in the 80s. We stayed 2 nights in Bangor, ME, and will now spend 2 nights camping in Bar Harbor. It's much closer to the park and cheaper. It was fun picking out our campsite and pitching the tent. Or in my case, watching Eugene do all the work =P It looked good in the daytime, but nighttime might be a different story...bugs, etc. We did a small hike yesterday along the nature trail near Jordan Pond, and went up Gorham Mountain today. More substantial hikes tomorrow. The Park has been really beautiful --scenic drives and vistas.
